Get discounts for your kids by subscribing to newsletters

Let’s face it, buying anything for your child or baby can be very expensive. Most of us parents look out for bargains where and if we can. But they’re not always available. However, there are other ways to bag deals from some of our favourite shops, particularly the e-tailers. Why? Because some of them are keen to build up their newsletter subscriber base that they are willing to part with some money in order to get you on as a member.

The downside to subscribing to all these newsletters is that you will have your private mailbox bombarded, but some of these newsletters are actually quite handy as they offer tips on a number of issues such as decorating, styling, parenting, etc.

Here’s a list of websites you may be interested in that offer discounts if you subscribe to their mailers:

It describes itself as an online shop for moms and babies. Here you can buy anything from Amber necklaces, formula, baby clothes, travel items to bathtime items and child appropriate books and music. If you sign up to their newsletter you get R100 off.

Faithful to Nature
You can buy a whole host of things from this organic online shop for babies and kids, including accessories, carriers, clothes, bottles and dummies, eco-friendly disposable diapers, natural remedies, potty training accessories and more. Subscribe to their newsletter and you bag a R100 shopping voucher. Plus they promise to share ‘secret deals’ only with subscribers.

There’s no discount at the time of writing for newsletter subscribers but if you visit the store ask the manager to subscribe to their text messaging service. Just today I was made aware of its 65% discounts on its winter garments and 30% off accessories when I got an SMS from them (only valid on 3 & 4 August, 2016).

Get R200 off if you subscribe to Zando’s newsletter. This premiere online fashion destination offers parents the choice of shopping for kids and babies. Again, a variety of things are on offer from shoes, clothing, to accessories. Look out for South Africa’s own brand of clothing sold on this site.

Get R100 off if you subscribe to Spree’s website. This online clothing and accessory specialist also boasts a kids and baby offering including clothing, accessories and swimwear.

Adidas South Africa
Here you get 15% off your purchase if you subscribe to their newsletter. They’ve got baby and toddler clothing and, of course, shoes that you can buy.

Get a R50 voucher if you subscribe to their newsletter. The only catch is that you have to make a minimum spend of R500 and the voucher is valid for only one month. Buy toys, baby and toddler clothing, accessories and other goods you’ll need for baby such as high chairs, boosters, humidifiers and prams.

If you sign up to all of these sites and make purchases you can save hundreds of Rands. And if you get sick of the newsletters, just remember you can just unsubscribe any time you like!
